Alternative Common Names

Gum myrtle, apple tree, boondah

Tree to 20m high with large crown and erect crooked branches. Bark is light brown, rough thick and fibrous with irregular cracks.

Leaves - 5-13 cm long, 12-15m wide, shortly stalked, the upper surface dull green, paler and with a yellow tint below.

Flowers - cream, borne on long stalks ni numerous groups of 2-7 at the ends of the branchlets.

Pods - similar in appearance to eucalypts but does not have a cap that falls off as flower opens.

Alluvial flats with deep loamy soil
